Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, recently made an announcement about the expansion of its list of collateral and loanable crypto assets. This development includes the addition of Shiba Inu (SHIB) as one of the collateral assets. The move has sparked speculation about the potential listing of the Bone token on Binance, coinciding with the upcoming launch of the layer-2 blockchain, Shibarium.

In its official statement, Binance disclosed that it has added 22 new loanable and collateral assets to its Flexible Loan and VIP Loan services. These assets include popular cryptocurrencies like COMP, IOTA, RLC, HOT, ENJ, THETA, IOST, AUCTION, PYR, ILV, KNC, YGG, GAS, CELO, IRIS, NKN, FARM, DIA, OGN, and ACA. However, one standout addition among them is Shiba Inu (SHIB). The inclusion of SHIB as a collateral asset significantly expands its utility, potentially attracting new users to the token.

The announcement of Binance’s new collateral assets coincides with the rumors of the upcoming launch of Shibarium, a layer-2 blockchain network. Following the successful Shibarium testnet PuppyNet launch, the native token of Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) has been listed on various cryptocurrency exchanges, such as OKX, Huobi, and Crypto.com. However, it’s potential listing on Binance is still speculative.
