Shiba Inu developers have been taking steps to improve the scope of services offered by the project. After being repeatedly criticized for its inability to use cases, the landscape changed during the summer of 2021. This was due to the launch of ShibaSwap Decentralized Exchange. This latest initiative offered potential for users to earn passive income from staking their stakes.

In recent times it has begun to take on bigger and more ambitious projects. It also revealed a layer-2 network that will be coming soon known as Shibarium and a metaverse based on that layer-2.

To prove that developers really dedicate their time to this upgrade they have revealed their partners in the development of their own version of the Shiba Inu metaverse. Australian gaming production company Playside Studios will handle the majority of the development as well as Activision Blizzard (NASDAQ:ATVI) ex-patriate William Volk heading the ship.

There’s a lot planned in the future for Shiba Inu crypto that will certainly boost its value as it announces new products. However, the news this week from the Microsoft group could assist SHIB too. The company, it has been revealed, is buying Activision Blizzard in a deal that is estimated to be worth 70 billion dollars.

Shiba Inu’s official spokesperson Shytoshi Kusama, took to Twitter yesterday to inform SHIB members that this latest news is good for the project too. Of course, the SHIB network is also connected to an Activision connection through William Volk. Kusama states that this acquisition “echoes” Shiba Inu’s decision to join forces with Volk. The company also stated the two companies Microsoft along with the Project has similar goals, as evident by the latest news.

Kusama’s comments help bring the community together. Many of the responses to Kusama’s blog post display bullish views of the upcoming metaverse-related product. While the community is excited about the connection, SHIB is paring a small loss and is trading down by half a percent.
