Shib Army News: Shib Women To Hold Their Second Space May 4th at 9PM EST

The blockchain industry has been predominantly male-dominated, but ShibWomen is a community that aims to change that. The group is hosting a special event called ShibWomen Space tomorrow, where they’ll discuss their vision to educate, empower, and encourage women to build and transact on the blockchain.

During the Shib Women Space, they will announce an upcoming 12-week self-paced course that costs $25 and covers the basics of blockchain, crypto, and wallet/key safety. The course is certified by ConsenSys, a leading blockchain software company, and is being offered by the Black Women of Blockchain, led by Olayinka Odeniran, Executive Director of Black Women in Blockchain and Chief Creative Director of IWB.

The Shib Women Space will also feature a guest speaker from NowPayments, a female-led crypto payment platform, and will call for volunteers to help teach the basics of Web3. The group is looking for strong female leaders who can teach everything from opening a wallet to writing a smart contract and building a business on Shibarium and soon Shib the Metaverse.

Shib Women’s goal is to promote mass adoption of blockchain technology and bring diversity to the industry. They recognize that even if they only teach the majority of women how to create a wallet, transact on the blockchain, and provide security tips, that’s a win for the community. Shib Women encourages all women who support women in Web3, blockchain, NFTs, crypto, and Shibarium to join the community.
