It’s not every day that tradition meets tech, especially when the tradition in question is as iconic as Ferrari. But guess what? This Italian luxury sports car legend is catching up with the digital age! Ferrari has now made it clear that they’re accepting $SHIB alongside other cryptocurrencies. If you’ve got some crypto coins burning a hole in your digital wallet, you might soon be able to exchange them for a real-world roaring beast.

Sure, many big companies out there are tip-toeing around the crypto pond, worried about its unpredictable waves, confusing regulations, and the big energy footprint of some tokens. Remember when Tesla danced with the idea of accepting crypto payments in 2021? They backtracked after Musk expressed environmental concerns.

Yet, Ferrari’s Enrico Galliera, the main man in charge of marketing, is optimistic. He acknowledges the changing face of the crypto world. It’s not all energy-hungry monsters anymore. Many in the industry are turning green, leaning on clean software and renewables. Galliera is keen on reminding everyone about Ferrari’s promise to go completely carbon-neutral by 2030.

So, what made Ferrari turn its gaze to crypto? Two words: market feedback. Galliera lets on that a big slice of their buyers are into crypto. Some are young digital currency whizzes, while others are seasoned investors just adding a sprinkle of crypto to their portfolio.

Just to give you an idea of Ferrari’s pull, they shipped a whopping 1,800 cars to our side of the pond in a recent six-month period. And while Galliera didn’t spill the beans on how many of those might be crypto-bought, he did hint at a long list of orders stretching to 2025.

If you’re in Europe, you might want to get your crypto stash ready. Ferrari’s planning to roll out this payment method across the pond early next year. But they’ll be steering clear of countries that aren’t too friendly to digital currencies, like China.

For the techy details: Ferrari’s buddying up with BitPay, one of the big names in crypto payments, for their U.S. debut. So, if you’re buying, you can whip out your bitcoin, ether, USDC, or $SHIB. And don’t worry about the wild crypto market affecting the deal. BitPay will quickly change those coins to good old-fashioned money to keep things steady.

To top it all off, they’re double-checking to make sure no dodgy coins get through, and that everything’s above board.

In a nutshell, Galliera seems pretty stoked with the direction they’re heading in. Loads of U.S. dealers are already on this digital train, and more are getting their tickets. Looks like cryptocurrencies, including $SHIB, are slowly getting the nod from the luxury lane!
