Dealing with cryptocurrency can often feel like walking through a maze of Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt AKA -FUD. Shibarium, the Layer 2 developed by Shiba Inu, has been capturing attention for its promising capabilities of low-cost and fast transactions. However, misinformation has recently raised concerns about the platform, particularly due to the intermittent downtimes of its block explorer, http://shibariumscan.io.

Kaal, a leading developer of the Shibarium project, took to Twitter to answer these concerns, emphasizing that the block explorer’s downtime is not a reflection of the overall network’s stability.

A block explorer serves as a web-based interface for the public ledger of activities on a blockchain network. While it provides a critical window into these activities, it’s not integral to the network’s core functionality.

In a tweet, Kaal outlined the distinction, stating, “I want to make sure people understand that if http://shibariumscan.io is down, just the block explorer is down, not the network.” Kaal also mentioned that the block explorer is powered by an open-source version of Blockscout and revealed that the team is in the process of establishing a more robust, hosted version to resolve these occasional downtimes.

Kaal warned the community to be vigilant against misinformation, noting that it often serves ulterior motives. He tweeted, “Please don’t listen to haters and scammers who FUD by misleading people so that they can buy low.”

Even amid challenges and misconceptions, Shibarium stands as a significant player in the Layer 2 scaling landscape. It continues to offer the broader crypto community a pathway to quicker and more economical transactions.

Kaal’s tweet indicates that an immediate priority for the Shibarium team is to introduce a hosted version of the block explorer, aimed at preventing further misconceptions spawned by its downtime.

As Shibarium moves forward, its commitment to technological innovation and transparent communication seems poised to elevate its standing in the crypto world, making it a resilient force against the ongoing challenges of FUD.
